Original artwork description:
This is a painting of a young gibbon that looked as if it was having so much fun swinging from a rope. It reminded me of a child on playground equipment calling out, "Look at me Mummy".
I started this painting with a red and blue underpainting to represent the light and shadows, and then added more natural colours whilst still allowing the underpainting to show through.
Painted on a deep board, this painting does not need framing.
