London In The Rain 12x16 oil on canvas_x000D_ _x000D_ ABOUT ME_x000D_ My name is Ryan Louder. I am an Oil Painter and a Songwriter. I have Narcolepsy, a brain disorder that does not allow the brain to wake up. Because of this I have a condition called "Hypnagogic Dream Intrusion" while awake. This is life limiting, but allows me to be incredibly creative and to have a career painting and writing music with many successful music artists (Dido, Dua Lipa etc). _x000D_ When it comes to painting the condition is at its most fascinating. I can hallucinate/dream the image onto a blank canvas and paint. Even if I use reference material it will change and manipulate as I paint into something unique. This is because my brain dips in and out of REM dream sleep very quickly.
