Original painting by Alan Harris, British artist,
The iconic building Battersea Power Station located on the south bank of the River Thames, a coal-fired power station was decommissioned in 1975. In 1980 the whole structure was given Grade II listed status; "Battersea B" shut three years later. This building is at the heart of one of central London's largest new developments. The £9bn project will see the creation of a vibrant new destination for London, housing a community of homes, shops, cafes, offices, leisure and cultural venues. Now the place is a legendary landmark that’s a symbol of hope and positivity brought back to life as one of the most exciting and innovative mixed-use neighborhoods in the world.
This painting is a view of the original building. Inspired by Turner himself gives a personal touch to your spaces, creating a personal and intimate environment, coziness, and comfort to your home.
Powerful and evocative this painting can be a wonderful, stunning centre piece to any home.
Alan's works and subjects come from his imagination giving him more freedom and expression and engage the viewer with atmospheric detail.
