Impressionist oil pastel painting of River Thames from its southern bankside overlooking OXO Tower with the city line behind Blackfriars Bridge - directly done outdoors as the expressionists of old - on a grey Daler-Rowney's Murano Paper - A4 format (29.7 x 21 cm). - - - Mostly I sketch, draw and paint directly from nature, in front of a model or object - keeping this practice feeds into my work as a sculptor, printmaker and conceptual artist. Oil pastel is a great medium for the expressionist. Such an 'oil pastel object' breathes so much authenticity, holding it in your hands you will feel its preciousness.

The very handy collection format is A4 - 29.7 x 21 cm - the actual image about 27.5 x 19 cm leaving an about 1 cm edge from having been masking taped during its making.
