Expressionist charcoal drawing of Westminster Bridge with Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in the background - on quality A4 paper directly done outdoors as the expressionists of old. - - - Mostly I sketch, draw and paint directly from nature, in front of a model or object - keeping this practice feeds into my work as a sculptor, printmaker and conceptual artist. Charcoal is a great medium for the expressionist - it breathes so much authenticity, having it on the palm of your hand you will feel its preciousness. The very handy collection format is A4.
