Here you can see the bright bird Loyca ( Long-tailed meadowlark-native bird in southern Chile), who sits on the branches of the Notro shrub (Chilean firebush) with bright red flowers, like the feather of the bird.
French Valley stands out against the skyline, which is named after the French glacier in the Torres del Paine National Park.
The picture is called "Loyca-healer bird, watching over its lands", because the legend sais that this bird saved the life of the wounded man.
The bird brought healing plants in the mouth and put it on the wound. The man was saved, but the bird's breast was stained with human blood. Since then its feathers are red.
