Original artwork description:

This is a painting that I did early in lockdown. I always work very instinctually, with only a hazy idea of what I am trying to create at the start, which gets more focussed as I gradually develop the painting over many layers. But this painting didn't work like that. It all poured out of me in one go, and it wasn't at all what I had planned to paint - it just seemed to be the thing I needed to paint in that moment. I think it captured the essence of how I was feeling about life in lockdown, and it helped me to understand what that was.
