This is the third of the five Lockdown Ladies I made during the lockdown spring of 2020. Made in white porcelain, her colours seem to really sing! I hate starting a sculpture in porcelain as its like working with jelly. As it hardens up it is easier to work, and finally I can carve it to get the smooth forms I want. And it is worth it for the colours! She seems especially vibrant, and the patterns are especially pleasing. A piece about hope and looking forward.
