Original artwork description:
This is part of my series of paintings called Metropolis, but it was painted at the height of the Covid-19 outbreak in the UK, when along with most of Europe I was in lockdown, hence the title of the artwork. I hope it will bring back the positive memories of community spirit and resolve and our deep appreciation of all those who work in the front line, not just medical staff, but cleaners, supermarket workers, delivery drivers, care workers and utilities - the list goes on.

Acrylic paint brushed over canvas, further paint added using a palette knife
