A contemporary Scottish landscape painting of Loch More, Caithness.
In this small study I have tried to portray the quiet atmosphere of a days trout fishing on a sunny late summers day beside the tranquil water of this remote highland loch. Surrounded by heather moorlands with low lying hills on the horizon, with the heat of the late summer sun and the plop of the trout coming to rise on the surface of the still water, a perfect reminder of a days fishing for fishermen.
Painted in a loose semi abstract impressionist style on a lightly textured canvas, in golden orange colours for the moors and cool pastel blue for the sky and distant hills.
Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
Frame moulding may differ slightly to the one shown depending on availability.
Will require a signature on delivery.
