63cm x 49cm x 3cm Original abstract painting on stretched canvas

With this work I wanted to use some of the methods used in my relief work and apply them to a 2d painting, thus the work is a collage created from cut out pieces of pre painted canvas which have been arranged in an intuitive manner.

Using this collage method allows me to created a visual field of intersecting shapes of solid colour, which create a sense of rhythm and shifting space.
