This is a canvas exploring shape and colour, using mainly a palette knife with some brush work. The harmony between colour and shape, creating it's own mood and atmosphere, it's own world of colour blast! I love working with these blues. It packs a punch. I painted this over easter weekend at my partners place in Mid Wales. He is also an artist and we had an Easter painting weekend. Him in oils.... and me with acrylics!
I've used a deep edged canvas so the whole piece becomes a 3D alive,almost sculptured piece.
The exciting new thing for me was experimenting with artists UV epoxy resin. This painting has been coated with the resin giving it a luxurious seal of high gloss resin. I love how the colour has intensified after this treatment.
This painting is 24" x 24" I LOVE COLOUR!
