In a big city you got a two dimensional sensation.
First you feel the verticality because of the height of the constructions and, in a second time you perceive a dimension that is horizontal and circular .
That is the result of the life around you, you have people, noises, lights and odors that come in front of you, behind you, at left and at right.
You feel yourself like caught in the big tourbillon of life that inebriates those who live in the big cities.
In the bottom of the canvas you can guess high glass towers which are the symbol of the largest cities in the world. In the foreground, in the abstract style which I have been working for more than ten years, the crowd, the noise, the incessant and intoxicating tumult of the great cities.
This very expressive and large-format work expresses what I feel in a big city. The colors I use, blue and mauve, illustrate this fascinating and heavy atmosphere which is characteristic of large cities.
Please look at the little video about the creation of this artwork. You can find it in my "me at work" section. Thank you.
