ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In 'Little Woman', I reflect on the inner strength and untamed spirit captured so vividly in the quote: 'You are the gull, Jo, strong and wild, fond of the storm and the wind, flying far out to sea, and happy all alone.' This painting is an homage to the fierce independence of a woman's soul, to the Jo in all of us who dares to embrace the storm and find solace in solitude. It's a celebration of the solitary journey towards self-discovery and the brave pursuit of one's own course, defying the tranquil safety of the harbor for the exhilarating unknown of the sea.
