Original artwork description:

'A precious little object'. Sometimes working on paintings of a large scale can be overwhelming and daunting. I find that it can be liberating and therapeutic to work small sometimes. This miniature painting is only 10cm x 16cm but it packs a punch with a statement of thick cadmium red on grey. At this scale it is easy to create oil paintings that are thick, luxurious and instant. Its great to be able to work instinctive and fast. This little canvas has a boxed edge of 2.5cm thick which is painted in grey and ready to hang.
