Little oasis in Calais, 2017.
There is a park in Calais where I found a little oasis with a water feature and beautiful trees around it. I have made several versions of this scene, and keep going back to it again, since it brings me not just a pleasure of remembering the lovely foliage and their reflections in the water, but personal memories of hope, love and gratitude.
Painting is on a deep edge quality canvas painted on the sides and ready to hang. It is varnished with protective Winsor&Newton satin varnish for acrylic paints.
