This is a little child that I painted whilst she still had her baby face; the huge eyes, the full, rounded cheeks. She was in that brief time before she moved on to being a toddler, her expression open and touching.

I love to paint portraits, and enjoy painting children because they are so mercurial. They change every moment, their expressions shifting constantly. Isobel is growing day by day, but in this painting she will always remain that little baby/child.
