Children and their Pets - I paint many portraits of children and their beloved pets and many portraits of adults with their favourite dogs and cats. The most unusual portrait was that of a man with his two iguanas. Fabulous!
I like the tenderness between humans and animals, the fondness which is somehow easier to express to an animal than to another human being. We can love a dog with ease, and perhaps that is why many of us need that companionship and comfort we take for granted.
As for children with animals - my first memory is of holding a newly born kitten and my love for animals stems from that experience,
