I was just putting the finishing touches on this new collage painting, when we began to be jolted by a series of aftershocks from a nearby earthquake. Thus, the title, which was also the title of a record by “Tori Amos”; a singer/ songwriter my daughters and I were a bit obsessed with, during our early months living in Paris. This piece was fun; a journey with an unknown destination. I love the overlapping Bottle Images I’ve created in the past, and it was refreshing to come back to this subject. The edges of the canvas are painted so this piece can be hung, unframed…
