Whilst Studying the History of Art, I am often inspired by the great masters.
I am frequently drawn to imitate their techniques and styles to influence my own paintings, I apply my take on their work to create a fresh new version incorporating my vision and so helping to develop my style and skill.
The great William-Adolphe Bouguereau, a French academic painter, inspired “Little Anna”. In his realistic genre paintings he used mythological themes, making modern interpretations of classical subjects.
