When the world was young the Earth goddess Lithara created mountains and valleys, rivers, and forests. But her heart yearned for something more - beauty that would eternaly preserve the interim light of the stars. One day, amazed by the splendor of the constellations she shed a tear. That tear fell into the depths of the earth, and from its touch first precious stone was born.

Astounded and mesmerized by this wonder she decided to create more and to make each gem a symbol of her feelings. She embodied her passion into rubies, emeralds kept her love of life, sapphires - her wisdom, and diamonds - her indestructible strength. She hid these treasures in the depths of the mountains so that people would find them only through work and aspiration for beauty.

Since then, people believe that precious stones carry a piece of the goddess's spirit, and whoever wears them with a kind heart will be blessed with her protection and inspiration. But if they are used by a greedy and evil person, the stones will lose their shine and bring misfortune.

Thus Litara guards the balance between greed and beauty, connecting the stars of the sky with the depths of the earth.

Materials used:

High quality acrylic paints, atural minerals, precious and semi-precious stones, canvas, varnish.
