This painting is inspired by compositions found in old books, evoking a sense of history and deep connection. At its heart lies a tribute to my birthplace—Kyiv—a city that lives within me no matter the distance. The chestnut leaves, a symbol of Kyiv, weave through the composition, carrying echoes of its streets, its spirit, and its enduring beauty. Inscribed in Latin, the phrase “I listen to the voice of my city” serves as a quiet declaration of love and belonging, accompanied by the city’s coordinates—an anchor to the place that will always be home.
