In this bright and vibrant piece, I aimed to capture the amber heat of a late summer sunset. The colourful burst of Cadmium Orange, as it glows across the sky, against the deep ocean below, is a striking palette.
The painting is slightly textured and catches the light, making the colours burst and glow.
My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the skies and sea - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
