Original artwork description:
Presenting a glorious lion painted in watercolor and gouache on canvas. This was achieved by first coating the canvas with a watercolor ground, painting over it in artist quality watercolors and then sealing the finished artwork with multiple coats of acrylic mat spray varnish. The lion is painted in an impressionistic way, with a lot of texture and mingling of color.
Materials used: Superior-quality heavyweight (380gsm), acid-free, 100% cotton, medium grain canvas and Winsor and Newton artist watercolors, plus a little bit of white gouache.
The width ( thickness) of the edge is about 35 mm ( 1.3 inches) and it has been painted black.
The artwork is ready to hang.The varnish ensures that the painting is protected from dust, dirt or other atmospheric elements.It can be wiped clean with a lint free cloth.
