Artwork description:

I have spent a bit of time in Kenya, on safari and visiting friends in the outback. My partner grew up in that country so we have the benefit of being able to travel around quite a bit with the use of a lent Landrover. This lion is part of a series of African animals that I have created from my various visits and sketches and they have been etched on to steel in order to give the prints that heir of ruggedness that is found upon wild animals that live in the bush.

Materials used:

Steel plate with wax resin. Oil based printmakers ink. Cotton Rag paper.
