There are phrases that best describe a technique, a process. And this is the case! "Printmaking like sex is not just a reproduction" is a common phrase between engravers and printers, its author is unknown but it is such a brilliant and fun summary of everything behind the printing process that I could not avoid giving my interpretation by graving every component of the print and composing it inspired by typographic techniques.
