Original artwork description:

Every morning I start the day by going to the window, and while the coffee is brewing, I look at the linden tree outside the window. I worry about it: how it survived the winter, whether it will bloom. I often talk to it. And I definitely feel some kind of connection with it. For me, this tree means something completely different than it does for many people who pass by it every day. The need to express my feelings for it, my inner state from reading and thinking, resulted in this work. I chose dry pastel for the painting because pastel for me is tenderness on the fingertips. And how suitable it is to express this, something elusive, between me, my orchids on the windowsill and the linden tree.
