This Linocut was inspired by a family of ducks and a lovely duck house that I saw in a local park. I carved two pieces of Lino to make a background and foreground image. I used green and blue on the background plate and then inked up the main design with a darker colour made up of charcoal and brown. I superimposed the plates to complete the image, printing it on an etching press.
The ink is oil based archival ink and it is printed onto thick 170gsm acid free cartridge paper. There are charming speckles and textures in this hand made print.
I aim to make an edition of 45 and each one is numbered and signed. I try to send the photographed print where possible but occasionally you may be sent a print with a different number. If you would like to know which number you will be sent, send a message and I will reply with a photo of the Linocut.
The image size is 30 X 20 cm with a border of 3-4 cm around the edge to allow for framing.
I always send the prints flat in a reinforced envelope and usually are sent first class with tracking.
