A contemporary landscape diptych painting. This is an abstract expressionist painting inspired by the green fields and wild flowers I observed on a walk I took on the South Downs in Spring 2024. The diptych has movement and texture where I allowed the oil to drip and mix with the linseed oil on the canvas. I love painting larger scale, it allows things to happen on the canvas that are unexpected and energetic.
Painted in my studio in Brighton.
