Original artwork description:

I went out onto my little roof terrace after a few days of rain to find that a star-gazer lily which I'd forgotten that I planted last year had come out in full bloom. It lasted for ages. As the weather was so lovely I took my oil paints outside and painted the plants in my jungle-like mini roof garden- there seemed to be a new flower each day. You can see a photo of the painting 'in situ' in the set of photos of this painting.
This painting is oil on canvas, and the sides of the canvas are also painted green. It is ready to hang.
