Nothing says late spring like the smell of lilacs on the breeze. A thick hedge row of old fashion lilacs hold so many sweet memories for me. They remind me of my Grandmother. Of my childhood on the farm. And now as an adult, seeing the old homesteads with not much remaining, but yet the hedge of lilacs still blooms.
