Original artwork description:

Painted on-site at the MN Landscape Arboretum's Lilac Hill. Features a grassy clearing amidst a collection of lilac bushes in a variety of shades from white to lavender to fuchsia. The lilacs are accented by a pale sky with hints of blue and pink and lush, spring green grass. A couple of evergreen treetops peak into the skyline. The shapes of the blossoms are enhanced by the use of thickly textured oil paint, applied with both palette knife and brush. This painting captures the essence of a beautiful seasonal moment that only happens once a year! The canvas is stretched on 1" stretcher bars with painted sides, and is framed in a 1.5" wide "float style" frame in antique gold and black.
