I painted this piece on-site on Lilac Hill at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. This painting features a path flanked by white, lavender, and purple lilacs in bloom, along with a sprinkling of white daffodils, under a sky heavy with spring rain. I created the clouds using a palette knife, and the paint has lots of texture and swirls of color. The lilac blossoms are also thick with texture. This is an original oil on stretched canvas. It is framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a black finish.
