"Like Odilon" is named after Odilon Redon, another of my favourite painters, I have discovered him in Paris Musée d'Orsay, I fell in love with the silky aspect of his paintings, and drawings. The use of colours is velvet kind. But there is also in him a dark period, and it's what I like. The period is called "les noirs" (the blacks), it was full of monsters and darkness, and I found his whole work very impressive, coming through darkness to finally arrive to fireworks of colours. Not only all those, it's also if someone has flirted with abstraction it was him.
So this would be another tribute to someone I really enjoy the work someone whom is an influence on me.


The work on paper allows me to do research about techniques, colours, textures; it's the permanent quest for harmony. I create samples of emotions, each paper is a desire... a desire of texture, a desire of light, a desire of colour.... an expressed desire of many ranges of emotions. Often it is also the desire to sublime the blue, a colour that I adore. I like when the shapes of the motifs are organic, natural, soft on the edge, leaking, bubbling, when it has some fluidity.
The work on paper has started in 2015, it has been, and still is my laboratory.

If you buy more than one the same size, the shipping will apply only once,
usually if I can send all the works at once (maximum up to 3 in a same box for canvas and up to 5 or 6 for paper works) I make the reduction and I keep you inform, feel free to contact me if you need further informations or if you have any questions.

MATERIALS:
"Like Odilon" is painted with Acrylic paint, on a 230g/m² paper, it is signed on the back and front, and will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
