Original artwork description:

My little sunflower fairy spirit came into being inspired by the way in which sunflowers always turn towards the direction of the sun. The flowers literally do 'work the light' and I used this as my driving theme. Using a combination of watercolor washes, stippling and some detailed colored pencil work I merged the figure with her swirling environment.

Gouache, watercolor and colored pencil.
