Contemporary palette knife oil painting depicting the game of lights and colors in the most famous public square in Lyon, the Place des Terreaux, one rainy evening.

The Place des Terreaux is a square located in the centre of Lyon, France and it belongs to the zone classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Place des Terreaux is limited in the south by the Museum of Fine Arts, in the east by the Town Hall. This place is very busy with tourists, with its beautiful fountains, and its many gastronomy places.

This is a modern impressionist palette knife painting. No brush was used to create the work. I only used different types of palette knives to apply thick oil color-saturated paint. I created this painting on deep edge canvas with the edges of the stretched canvas painted. The painting arrives ready to hang, with framing optional.
