NEW Original One of Kind acrylic painting created on a 12 x 9 canvas board.
This artwork is inspired by a picture my Sister and her husband took when they were in Italy. It is entitled, "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean". It pictures an island called Stromboli, an island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the north coast of Sicily, containing Mount Stromboli, one of the four active volcanoes in Italy. It is one of the seven Aeolian Islands, a volcanic arc north of Sicily., The volcano has erupted many times and is constantly active with minor eruptions, often visible from many points on the island and from the surrounding sea, giving rise to the island's nickname "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean", hence the title of this artwork. There is a constant plume of steam above the volcano as pictured in this artwork. It is sold UNFRAMED but I have attached a pic of it framed for you consideration.
