This artwork was inspired by artist's journey.
Ar Men ("the rock" in Breton) is a lighthouse located at one of the extremities of the Chaussée of the Island of Sein, at the western end of Brittany. It shares its name with the rock on which it was erected between 1867 and 1881.
Considered one of the most difficult places to work by the lighthouse keeping community, it has been dubbed "the hell of hells" due to the severe conditions and exposure to the Atlantic.
