As an artist, I am constantly inspired by the great masterpieces of the past – the works of art that have stood the test of time and continue to captivate and inspire audiences today. But while I have a deep appreciation for these works, I also believe that art is a constantly evolving medium, and that it is important to create and share new and unique perspectives on the world.
In my own art, I strive to find a balance between paying homage to the masters and expressing my own unique voice and vision. For example, my series of "frothing" paintings is inspired by the abstract expressionist movement of the mid-20th century, with its bold brushstrokes and expressive use of color. But my use of a water sprayer to manipulate the paint adds a modern twist to the traditional medium of acrylics, creating a sense of movement and energy that is truly one-of-a-kind.
Similarly, my series of lighthouse paintings is influenced by the classic seascapes of the Dutch masters, with their meticulous attention to detail and dramatic use of light and shadow. But my emphasis on the sky and the sense of hope conveyed through the lighthouse's light gives these works a contemporary and meaningful twist.
In short, I believe that art is about finding inspiration in the past while also looking to the future. It is about honoring the traditions of the masters while also carving out a unique and personal artistic path. And it is this balance that I strive to achieve in my own work.
This is one of a kind acrylic painting on stretched cotton canvas (comes with stretcher bars). The painting is signed on the side and at the back and comes with Certificate of Authenticity. The painting is ready to hang.
