This is a completely unique and original PMS Sculptural painting, and Multi-panel work on reclaimed wood. These paintings and series epitomizes a technique and aesthetic I have been working to perfect over the years and takes them to a new level, both literally and figuratively. Themes in my work of construction, deconstruction, vibrant color, form, texture and decay exist in this piece and have been amplified by a new layer of broken down, assembled pieces of wood, that have been painted and constructed into the piece. This adds a wonderful new element of shadow and an idea of breaking the plane of a conventional canvas and frame. I have continued my obsession with incorporating found and recycled materials and assembled them into what I like to think of as a sculptural painting. It is beautiful, highly design-oriented series that plays with negative space and fitting into that negative space. It is intriguing to look at from multiple angles and with the changing of light that reflects on the artwork. I have constructed this middle frame myself out of reclaimed wooden framing materials and the juxtaposition of elegant white sculptured wood and bold, textured and layered oil paint is stunning. It also functions to partially frame the four surrounding paintings. These five pieces together truly make for a unique artwork like no other.

Note: The center painting is painted on assembled, reclaimed wood and comes uniquely, irregularly framed and hang ready. The accompanying four pieces are painted on a 24" x 12" wooden panel and will also come hang ready.

SHIPPING NOTE: Due to the large size and irregular shape of this multi-panel painting, the center piece will most likely be broken down into two pieces when shipped (along with the four accompanying paintings) to save on shipping cost to the collector and to protect the work. It can then be easily re-assembled/screwed together upon arrival.
