TITLE: Coral Paradise
MEDIA: Plexiglass, Glass, Ink
YEAR: 2024
LOCATION; Florida, USA
This original abstract crystal and glass resembling sculpture was made from clear plexiglass heated in with glass pieces and ink and hand-formed. This is a lighted sculpture, with an electrical cord and switch. It can also be used as a decoration and/or accent lamp. The process done to make these sculptures is very long and detailed where everything is heated, painted, heated again, and then formed into abstract shapes. Everything is done by hand. There are no molds or premade patterns used. The whole sculpture is made in a free-form style, resembling glass and crystal, however, it does not shatter or break as easily as glass. I really enjoy making these little and big treasures in which my inspiration and use of color always lead me into unknown dimensions. I rarely plan my sculptures; most of the time, they are spontaneous acts of creativity inspired by nature. This unique sculpture lamp is inspired by ocean and tropical coral reefs. I live in the coastal region of Florida and Ocean is always my number one inspiration. The sculpture comes with beautiful colors of the reef and when lit up, all the colors come to life. The electrical cord, a candelabra-style E12 base, and an LED light bulb are all included with the sculpture. I love making these sculptures but what fascinates me the most is the light. The light is the life of my sculptures. It creates an image where the colors start dancing together adding dimensions, shapes, warmth and your brain waves get the sensation of happiness. The light adds a new life to the sculpture. I love playing with light and that is why I create my sculptures with medium that is transparent, translucent , where every color gets the burst of energy when the light goes through it. The certificate of authenticity is included with the sculpture. Please note Customers outside of the United States will need a voltage converter (not included). For those customers, I will also provide a free battery-operated LED light if they choose to use LED instead of a standard light bulb with an electric cord.
The sculpture is also signed and dated on the bottom.
