This original watercolour painting features a black woman figure holding a lantern and who brings light to the darkness wherever she travels. When I look at this painting it brings to mind the books that I've been reading for years in the Sci Fi and Fantasy genre. She reminds me of a heroine in one of those books who maybe has magical powers and is the world's only hope for survival! She looks powerful and confident, which I love.

This is a watercolour original with some fine coloured pencil mark making details.

The paper that the painting has been painted on measures approx. 9" x 12" and is a quality acid-free watercolour paper.

****Please note that the painting is being sold with a black mount and backing board measuring approx. 11" x 14" which makes it very convenient for framing purposes.****

****Please note that a frame is NOT provided, just a mount.*****

The painting will be shipped in a clear protective wrapping and in a board-backed envelope marked with 'Please Do Not Bend'
