A lighthouse has stood at Point of Ayr, in the mouth of the Dee estuary, since 1776. This 60ft tower was erected on Talacre beach in 1820, though it has not been an active aid to navigation since 1883. Now in a dilapidated state with a pronounced lean, it is nevertheless an imposing and impressive monument to 19th century engineering.
This is print 1 of 25. Brand new and exclusive to Artfinder. Limited edition of 25 prints across all sizes and finishes (plus two 24x16in artist's proofs). Each print is individually hand-signed and numbered. All are produced by an award-winning lab using state of the art technology and museum-quality materials.
Unmounted prints of this piece are available in 12x8in (£60), 15x10in (£80), 18x12in (£100), 24x16in (£125). Also available as an 18x12in gallery-wrap canvas (£160), 18x12in aluminium-mounted (£185), and 24x16in aluminium-mounted (£295).
Please contact me to request size or finish options not already in my store. Or if you don't see the size and/or finish you want, please get in touch...other options may be available.
Unmounted prints come on Hahnemühle FineArt Pearl 285 g/m² paper (or equivalent as appropriate), printed with Epson Ultrachrome K3 pigment inks for true museum quality and colourfastness certified for 100 years. These are absolutely the finest quality prints to be found, used by professional photographers when only the best will do, and loved by art collectors for their stunning detail in highlight and shadow as well as depth of tone. All prints come with a wide border for easy mounting and framing.
Gallery wrap canvas prints are produced using the same Epson K3 inks as my paper prints, on heavyweight 100% cotton canvas, to create pieces with richness and luminosity along with a wonderfully tactile texture. They are stretched onto a frame made from sustainable wood, reinforced for stability and fitted with robust metal fixings for easy hanging
Aluminium mounting is the ultimate ready-to-hang enhancement to your home decor, a spectacular image and a sleek and modern mounting system which creates a stunning piece of gallery standard artwork. The photograph is professionally lab-printed onto Fuji Crystal Archive DPII paper using a traditional photo-chemical process, then mounted and sealed on a 3 layer aluminium substrate (for superb stability and warp-resistance). Finally, a UV-protective coating is applied to protect the print. Wall-fixings are pre-fitted, so the piece is ready to hang straight away.
Please be aware that quality of this kind takes a little time. Turnaround times vary from 7 business days for unmounted prints to 10 business days on average for canvas and aluminium mounting, after which I take delivery of the work for inspection before shipping to you. Guaranteed to be worth the wait!
