Faux ancient Khmer architecture in a sunlit park. I liked the shapes & dramatic contrast of light & shade. I started with Pollock-esque drips & splashes, to get a feel of the patina of the old stone. Then a wash of Prussian blue in the shadows, & fleshtone in the sunlit areas, allowing the underpainting to show slightly. Then working with red, ochre & Naples yellow to add warmth, with mauve, cobalt blue & turquoise washes in the shadows, to emphasise warm & cool contrast. Violet & greens for the wooded area in the background.
