An impressionistic coastal painting.
Although I live in Kent, I have been visiting Pembrokeshire for my whole life. For me the coastline has a wild, romantic beauty can be both atmospheric and dramatic.
This painting was started looking down on my favourite beach, Abermwar which has both sand and rocks. I am thinking of the shiny rocks, stones and tenacious grasses which surround the beach itself - and of the light at the end of the day.
There are glints of both bronze and gold paint on this canvas.
This 40x40cm painting is strung with picture cord and ready to hang, It is unframed and has white painted edges.
