Artwork description:

A friend of mine is an engineer but also has a certified talent in welding and metalworking. He's pictured here grinding away on a large I-beam. The project we were working on was endlessly long and stressful. The little window showing blue sky represents the light at the end of the tunnel (and there actually was a window up there). To make the sparks more lively and irregular, I first printed the spark edges with orange ink, then immediately used the same plate with brayer covered with thin rubber bands in yellow ink. His head and gloves were filled in with watercolors after the four ink plates were printed.

This artwork is hand printed from linoleum blocks (plates) on archival printmaking paper, using oil-based inks. The linoleum blocks are hand cut. Each separate color requires its own block. 4+ colors. Maximum image size: 9" x 12" Overall paper size: 11" x 14"

This edition is limited to 50 copies, and each print is numbered, titled and signed by the artist. Each print is considered an original, and can vary slightly from the others. 2018

My print(s) are carefully packaged between multiple sheets of cardboard, matboard and padding, insured to the value of the artwork, and shipped via USPS.
