This work explores the idea of lifting the veil of reality to see what is really there, for reality itself is an illusion and our perception allows us to construct a cohesive picture of what reality is so we can function, it is the same with animals, this is a functional reality. What is a conscious reality, what is it really like? We need to lift the veil to find out, just how one does that is different for everyone. This work was painted in the style of abstract expressionism.

I like using acrylics as the colours blend so well together.

This work is painted on gallery canvas and has been sealed with varnish. The canvas is mounted onto a stretcher being 122 cm in height by 180 cm in weight. However, due to the very large size of this work the canvas has BEEN REMOVED FROM THE STRETCHER and once acquired you will need to REMOUNT IT. Your local framing shop will be able to do it for a reasonable fee, which would be much lower than prohibitive shipping fees. The artwork comes rolled up in a PVC tube. So FREE SHIPPING is provided to assist.

This work was created on the 29th of June 2019.

In my paintings, I use the finest quality professional Liquitex acrylic paints, gallery canvas. The painting was sprayed with a glaze of varnish.
