Original artwork description:

I got lice for the first time as an adult at 42 (I believe I got it in a contact improvisation jam). My head had been itching for a couple of days and I used my phone, in vain, to try to check if it was lice. I could not see anything. Eventually, I went to the care center and they confirmed. I suffered for two weeks; and still insisted on filming my head to check if they were dying with the treatment. I used one of those videos to make this painting.
