That moment when you let go.....liberty...As a horse trainer, I often prefer to work with young horses, or when re educating horses, in liberty at first - (AKA -let them run like crazy in the paddock!), to see their true character and what they show me...and how we can work together.... but that's another story!!

A piece based on what was a very detailed drawing of a liberty moment but this is me going back to my roots, more expressive gestural mark making, blending realism with expressionism.. more energy!

I orginally wanted to recreate the smaller study, but things just went big! And then bigger and better and I got lost in it...and well, I went for it. Just an artist practising "Liberty";)
