The quilt of her existence.

Influenced by the line drawings of Picasso and Matisse, I wanted to capture several moments of a persons life. Displayed like a quilt where each section tells an individual story that also makes up a significant part of the overall journey. Memories fade, some leave a lasting impact. The beauty survives.

These began with a series of A4 sheets of canvas paper. Building up layers of oil paint over time. I them painted the same image on each one, making sure the colours and feel captured a different mood. I then glue each finished piece to a large art board made of sealed MDF. 15 pages in total. Some have photos of home grown flowers to signify a time of pure beauty.

Then the fun began. I had to destroy each one to a certain degree, giving each piece the aged appearance that only time can create. Some now only a faded memory. Others remain more intact.

Comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Painted on sealed 3mm MDF board and secured to a home made backing frame. Sides painted white to reflect your wall colour.

As with all work, the photo's should capture the artwork well, however it is pleasing to me that in person I have always had positive reviews from buyers. This painting will no doubt satisfy the owner. Fresh, Modern, Inspired. Please check on various devices as colour will sometimes vary.

This painting will require a courier for shipping. It will be safely and securely packaged between foam sheets, and board to form a crate. The shipping price is an estimate and a partial reimbursement will be issued if the shipping is less. Or you can message me for a quote. As you can appreciate an artwork this size is quite expensive to ship safely.

Shipping charges cover the costs of properly packaging the artwork, materials used, tracking and full insurance is all covered. Import duties, customs charges may be added upon import. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer. The U.K. for example is a VAT of 5%.
